A typical residential system in Spain costs €4,500–€6,500 for an apartment or small home (3–4 kWp) and €15,000–€19,500 for a villa with a 10 kWp array and 10 kWh battery, fully installed and legalised. Large villas with pool and air conditioning usually need 15–20 kWp, budget €22,000–€38,000. Prices depend on roof layout, shading and consumption — not on the region.

Southern Spain delivers around 1,700 kWh per kWp per year — roughly 70% more than the Netherlands or Germany — so a system pays back in 4–6 years instead of 8–12, even before subsidies. Pool pumps and air conditioning, the biggest loads in Spanish villas, run exactly when the sun shines.
On the Costa del Sol the installed price is €950–€1,200 per kWp for a budget system, €1,200–€1,500 per kWp for a premium system with hybrid inverter and full legalisation, and €1,500–€1,950 per kWp once battery storage is included. A 10 kWp villa system with a 10 kWh battery therefore lands between €15,000 and €19,500.
